About

Frustrated by her loveless marriage, Natasha decides to replace her husband, Roger, with a demon. But finding an otherworldly being that you can build a life with can be harder than it sounds.

Director's Statement

"The idea for “Devil You Don’t” came from the question: what if your life was so unbearable that a horror movie plot would be preferable? Though some initial ideas were quite dark, I knew from the start this would be a horror-comedy. So when I found the angle of a couple whose marriage has deteriorated to the point that the husband, though not an objectively terrible person, has already become a monster in his wife’s eyes, I knew I had the kernel for a fun story.

As my first attempt at a serious short, this film is the realization of a lifelong dream, and hopefully just the first step on a much longer filmmaking journey. It is the manifestation of hours, days, and months of effort from all of the talented people I am fortunate to have had involved in various stages of production. It is the type of film that I enjoy watching, and I can only hope that everyone who helped to make it feels as proud of it as I do."
